This again...? [He shakes his head, appalled.] You don't have to pretend to be interested in anything for my sake, Akechi-san. The greatest strength of our group is that we are unafraid to be ourselves, regardless of whether it appeases others or not.
That's not what I mean. It honestly doesn't matter to me where we go. I'm only saying that sometimes when a person wants someone to like them, that's what they do. What makes you so sure he's any different?
Even if that were the case, and he did not care for my art, I know he cares for me as a friend. When I first joined the Phantom Thieves, I was crippled by artist's block, and it was only the continued support of him and the others that have allowed me to overcome it.
If his goal was simply for me to like him, surely he would not have gone through such trouble? I know I have hardly been easy company to keep.
[Yusuke likewise drains the last of his coffee, getting to his feet.]
Let's be off, then.
[He thanks Sojiro and heads out. The trip to the station is uneventful enough, the journey on the subway less so, when a group of girls in the train car begin loudly speculating whether that guy in the red hoodie really looks like the Detective Prince or not.]
Hmm... This could be a problem. [why does Akechi have so many fangirls, even when he's in hiding????]
Oh, um... You'll see. Just get ready to move as soon as they're not looking.
[Yusuke approaches the group of girls, interrupting their debate.]
Excuse me, would any of you happen to have seen a wallet? It, ah, has a lot of money in it, and I'm sure it must have slipped out of my pocket after I got on the train. So if you could perhaps check under your seats...
[Some of the girls are more interested in trying to flirt with Yusuke than helping him, but a lot of money is all the convincing at least half the train car needs to look around for it. With everyone looking at the ground or on the seats, that should be Akechi's chance.]
[Welp, this seems to be happening. Akechi takes the opportunity presented, slipping into the next car, where he tugs down his hat, pulls his hood closed, and pretends to sleep until they finally get to their stop. He then gets off and finds a nice corner to lurk in and whips out his phone, sending out a quick text:]
Those girls really took a shine to you. Get any numbers?
[The text is followed by a string of successive messages:]
They said because I had lost my wallet they would take me out to dinner, but grew rather upset when I told them I would prefer the money for a meal. It seemed more practical to me. There was really nothing to be upset about.
[Which is right about when he walks by Akechi, completely oblivious while he looks at his phone, still typing away.]
Not that I would have taken their money, of course. I am not that kind of thief!
[Still texting! He heads up an escalator to leave the station.]
For some reason, I do not think they even cared my wallet was missing. They just wanted to pester me with odd questions.
[It's not until he gets to the station entrance that he pauses and looks around, realising he's minus one (1) detective. They did get off at the same stop, right...?]

Perhaps so. I can't speak for him. But me, I pretend to be interested in all sorts of things for the sake of others.

[Sips the last of his coffee and sets the cup down.]
I'm ready to head out when you are.

Just ignore them.

It would be a problem if they decided to follow us. How about I provide a distraction, while you sneak off into the next car?
no subject
[Pausing to consider, though.]
What are you planning to do?

Not the most subtle way to get rid of them, but well done.
You don't want attention from girls like that, anyway.

I was wondering when you were going to notice.

[Never mind that the opposite just happened...]
That group got off at the previous stop, so we should be fine from here.
no subject
[He says, boastfully.]
Let's stop at a convenience store, and I'll pick up a face mask.
no subject
[He just wants to go to the gallery. :( But then, a minor delay beats having to come up with more plans to distract fangirls, so...]
If memory serves, there should be a store just opposite the gallery.
no subject
[Gestures to his own face.]
Though it's a shame to have to hide all this from the world, don't you think?
